bc they’re twelve/thirteen THEY CAN GO I got so lucky with their ages

all the kids love ford bc he’s wonderful at his job, all the kids love stan bc he’s terrible at his job some kid always ends up crying and “pain is hilarious”

Picking Grenda’s was tricky but the rest just made sense to me tbh

I couldn’t choose whether to make Stan a Hufflepuff or a Slytherin, but in the end the temptation to put one member of the Pines family into every house was too great 😛

In between canon Ford being hell bent on destroying and preventing evil, and canon Stan being pretty reckless, their careers made sense to me (that and the whole “job is jinxed” thing seems very Ford).

EDIT: Also Dipdop’s constellation birthmark on his forehead works conveniently well

right after they finish going through mabel’s scrapbook everyone asks stan if he remembers anything and hes like

“i think so….you’re mabel. you’re dipper. you’re…soos. and you…..” he stares at ford for a while “i dont know. but im getting annoyed looking at your dumb face”

over the next couple days ford tries to spend as much time with stan as possible, explaining stuff and trying to jog his memory until hes like “i think i do remember something about you. i’m supposed to be really angry with you…what did you do?”

and ford finally stops and apologizes for everything, for letting their dad kick him out, for abandoning him for all those years, for trying to get rid of him and trying to use him when the reunited 30 years ago, and for not being grateful when stan saved him. and even tho stan doesn’t remember any of that he just wants him to know how sorry he is and asks for forgiveness

and stanley’s like “…did you really think i could have forgotten you, poindexter? you’re pretty gullible. i forgive you. and im sorry too.”

then ford’s says “so you knew who i was this whole time??”

and stans like “NAH i just remembered you a few hours ago. i just thought if i kept it up it’d be easiest to get a sincere apology out of you. thats conning 101, brother. we are brothers right? haHA iM JOKING!!”
