Your vision happened. In Ford’s Bubble. Did you wonder WHY the episode almost entirely about Mabel and her struggles had Ford’s forehead with a Shooting Star as the end credits page?
BECAUSE FORD WAS TRAPPED IN SUCH BUBBLE TOO!! But he had no one like Dipper to come and show him it’s not real!! Just as Sock Opera paralleled a Tale of Two Stans, being the version in which one of the twins actually does “sacrifice everything they worked for just for their dumb sibling”. Then what happened in Mabel’s Bubble was the same – the better outcome of the same scenario that happened to Ford behind the Portal.
Ford probably did have a wonderful life there. Maybe a family. But it was all an illusion. What we saw on sftbe website was happening within the Bubble the whole time, Ford was being slowly tainted by the illusion, that’s what “how longer CAN I wait”. “Don’t open the door” – in the same message. It meant “How longer can I try to resist the beautiful illusion” and “DON’T OPEN THE PORTAL”. We all assumed it must have been the literal Nightmare Realm, while it was a daydream. THAT’S WHERE FORD RECEIVED HIS 12 PhDs!! It couldn’t be possible any other way! He was probably also a here there, saving a dystopian society etc. where he was the hero he always wanted to be, (just as in your Dimension52 AU) – it explains his clothes and gun he got out of Portal with. And yes, there’s no doubt these objects could exist outside the Bubble. Xyler and Craz did, just as the clothes Mabel fixed still were in good shape when they escaped.
It explains why he’s always so sure he’s right. Because in the fantasy world it was always the case. He lived there 30 years, so that’s logical. Why he doesn’t ever notice his obvious mistakes and inconsistency. The man is out of his mind, I told you, from the start!! Also who the hell knows how twisted the memories of Stan might have become there.
Conclusion: “Weirdmageddon Part 2: Escape from Reality” was really showing us what happened behind the Portal to Ford, we were right predicting this.
